Bring Back Youth Alpha!

Last Tuesday we began our first Youth Alpha course at Townsend since 2019! Due to the pandemic it’s a course that has had to be put on hold for a number of years. But with the opportunity to run a taster course with yr7’s last November we decided to bring the chance to take part in this course back to Townsend!

We had seven wonderful young people come along last week for our first session looking at who Jesus is and we had such a lovely time together. Two of our wonderful volunteers Jane and Shannon also came along to help facilitate all the conversations (and will also be joining in for the whole course). We had some wonderful questions and thoughts from the young people including some great ideas of what they would like to be known for like making the world a better place for everyone.

We are looking forward to session number two tomorrow exploring why Jesus had to die? We also have three new young people are set to join us as well. Better make sure I get enough donuts in!…
