Next Steps
Step is dedicated to helping young people discover, explore and grow in their faith, offering support at every stage of their spiritual journey. By working closely with schools, youth groups, and local churches, Step creates safe spaces where young people can discuss, question, and deepen their understanding of faith.
Step provides a range of programmes, from school workshops to mentorship opportunities, all designed to engage young people in meaningful conversations, especially faith. These programmes are led by passionate mentors and volunteers who share their experiences, making it easier for students to connect with and relate to their own life journeys.
One of Step’s standout offerings is the Explore Programme, which encourages young people to dive into different aspects of Christianity. Through interactive sessions, students can examine how faith relates to their daily lives and discover new ways to incorporate their beliefs into their actions. Step recognises the importance of mental health in a young person's spiritual journey, and many of its sessions also incorporate discussions on well-being, helping students navigate life's challenges with resilience and hope.
Step also emphasises community, creating an environment where young people feel supported by their peers. Group activities, discussions, and events allow them to bond with others who share similar beliefs, fostering friendships that can last a lifetime.
As we look ahead to 2024/25, Step is excited to roll out our Next Steps plan. Just as a taste test offers a delicious sample of something more, we aim to make it easier for young people to find their next steps in faith after experiencing what Step has to offer. Inspired by how Cook engages customers at Marshalswick, we’re committed to not only offering a taste of faith but also providing clear, immediate paths for young people to continue their journey. We’ll be investing in resources and support to ensure that each student can easily access the next steps in their faith journey—right when they’re ready for more.
